Productions by internationally renowned media artists and the innovative works of new masters from the academies will be presented at the 22nd European Media Art Festival. The EMAF is one of the most influential forums of international Media Art. As a meeting point for artists, curators, distributors, gallery owners and an audience of specialists, the festival has a great impact on the topic and aesthetics of Media Art. Each year the festival offers its visitors a current overview of new experimental films, performances, lectures, an exhibition and the Media Campus. The International Short Film Festival (to confirm)
Interfilm has established itself as one of the most important short film festivals in Europe. It is the second oldest German short film festival (after Oberhausen), and is recognised as the second most significant and oldest international film festival in Berlin after the Berlinale. More than 4,000 films under a duration of 30 minutes are submitted each year. Of those, approximately 400 films are selected and organised into different thematic programmes. These include; international, German, animation, documentary and children’s films. The Foreign Focus highlights productions from specific countries or regions. currents 2010 will open June 17, coinciding with SITE Santa Fe's Eighth International Biennial Exhibition, “The Dissolve”.
While SITE Santa Fe's exhibit will focus on video art and its integration of other media, the currents 2010 exhibition is designed to broaden the conversation about the current trends in experimental video art.
currents 2010 is co-sponsored by Parallel Studios, El Museo Cultural, Zane Bennett Contemporary Art, and SITE Santa Fe. The exhibit will be located at El Museo Cultural across the street from SITE Santa Fe.
The currents 2010 exhibit will be housed in El Museo Cultural's 12,000 sq. ft warehouse. The majority of the space will be devoted to 8 to 12 video installations. A separate 1,000 sq. ft screening room will be used for the single channel video programs, presentations and performances.

This year subject of the French-English Poetry Festival is “DU
POETIQUE a la POESIE” (“From Poetics to Poetry”). The video
artists are invited to illustrate those 36 poems which were
presented to the festival by means of experimental films. All
the poems will be reproduced in a bilingual French-English
edition and the films will constitute the third translation that
of the image.
