The Art Interview - International Online Artist Competition is an international, juried exhibition of paintings drawings and sculptures in any medium. The competition is run completely over the Internet, which eliminates the need for the artists to send slides or arrange for physical transportation of their artworks. The competition is open to all living artists worldwide, aged 16 and up. Deadline : The competition is open all year round and prizes are awarded quarterly. Entries accepted into the competition gallery automatically compete for the winning prize every quarter. The results of the competition will only be made public by means of publication in Art Interview Online Magazine. Portrait Award 2010 The BP Portrait Award is the most prestigious portrait competition in the world, highlighting the very best in contemporary portrait painting. Open to everyone over the age of 18, the competition and resulting exhibition aim to encourage artists to focus upon and develop the theme of portraiture in their work.

The Bosque Art Classic, sponsored by the Art Council, was organized in 1986, and has become an international juried art show held each year in September. 2009 will mark the show’s 24th year. Through a purchase award given by Roland and Joyce Jones, in memory of their son John Steven, one piece of artwork is added to the Bosque Art Center's permanent collection each year, located in the Jones Gallery on the second floor of the Art Center. The gallery houses an outstanding collection of original paintings and sculpture. The 24th Annual Art Classic opens September 12, 2009 and runs for two weeks, closing September 27th. Over $14,500 in awards are offered in several categories. Deadline to receive entries is June 13 Download the prospectus in PDF format for complete details.
