International Ceramic-PlainAir „Palanca
2009
The aim of this event is to use various techniques in the field
of ceramics to be tested and experience, with the main area on
the basis of traditional ceramics.
This includes the pottery at the wheel, modeling, wood fire
techniques, Raku, and various after-treatment techniques.
Due to the geographical situation of the Republic of Moldova was
and is a gathering of different cultures and nations is always
present; we try to integrate this interesting mix in the field
of ceramics.
There are 2 wood fired kiln's (<1000 ° C, 250 Ltr. / 150Ltr. ),
a foot-powered pottery wheel, a Raku kiln (gas fired), an
electric pottery wheel, a pug mill and banding wheels available.
The accommodation is on site and in surrounding private homes.
Also could be brought tents to place on the site.
The participation costs per participant per day 10 EUR and
includes meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and accommodation.
Participants must move your hand tools for work and work clothes
and shoes to bring. From the organization is clay, grog on taste
(clay powder and grog), basic glazes (white, transparent) and
metal oxides are available.

Symposium
of Stone Sculptures “Vilnoja 2010”
Objectives of the Symposium are the following :
- to promote and develop the art of natural stone in Lithuania - to promote
Lithuanian and foreign sculptors and their works - to render favorable
conditions for communication between sculptors. Participants of the Symposium,
who have been invited and express readiness to take part in the Symposium shall
prepare projects of sculptures and submit them to the Organizer till January 10th 2010. Proposals have to be submitted in person or by registered post at

The 6th Sculptor Symposium of Davos will take
place from 16.-23. July 2010 in Davos.
Davos is a city in
the mountains, famous for the WEF (World Economic Forum), for Skiing and the
famous expressionist painter E.L.Kirchner. (www.davos.ch)
Specially invited
artists create sculptures on a given theme over a period of six days.

The selection from
10 to 20 artists ( depending on the answers from the invited artists) will be
possible only

scaled-down sculpture
(2D or 3D - maximum height 20cm) of an original
piece of work.

a sketch of the
project.

a specification
sheet indicating the dimensions of the finished piece of work.
