Women's Studio Workshop Artist Book Residency
These residency grants are designed to enable artists to produce a limited edition book work at WSW. Working intensively in our studios for six to eight weeks, artists print and bind their own books. WSW technical assistance includes training on new equipments, introduction to new materials, and assistance with production.
The grant includes a stipend of $2,000 to $3,000 for six to eight weeks, materials up to $750, access to all studios, travel costs (within the Continental US), and housing. Projects are chosen by a jury of outside artists and curators. Deadline: November 15
Women's Studio Workshop Studio Fellowship
WSW Fellowship opportunities are designed to provide concentrated work time for artists to explore new ideas in a dynamic and supportive community of women artists. Fellowships are awarded through a jury process. The cost to Fellowship recipients is $200 per week plus materials. The award includes on-site housing and all-hour access to our studios. The facilities feature complete studios in intaglio, silkscreen, hand papermaking, photography, letterpress, and ceramics. Four- to six-week sessions are available each year from September through June. Artists are given a studio orientation, but should be able to work independently. Technical assistance is available for $35/hour. A thorough WSW studio introduction is provided at no charge.

Women's Studio Workshop Ceramics Fellowship
WSW offers a limited number of special fellowships to potters
who make bowls for the annual WSW Chili Bowl Fiesta. At Chili Bowl Fiesta, one
of our local fundraising events, community members choose from over 800 handmade
bowls and tumblers filled with piping hot chili or drink.
Potters who will make 50 glazed bowls or 100 bisque bowls will receive a 50%
discount off the fellowship fee (i.e. the bowls plus $200 will cover a two-week
residency). The length of this fellowship opportunity can vary from three to six
weeks.
Fellowships are awarded through a jury process. The award includes on-site housing and unlimited access to the studio. Deadline: November 1

The Miró Workshops located in the upper area of the grounds of the Pilar i Joan Miró Foundation are the artist’s legacy to young creators. Appropriate for meeting, learning and experimenting with a wide range of artistic techniques.
The Miró Workshops have several different facilities with the necessary infrastructure so that artists can experiment and develop their work using engraving, lithography, serigraphy, photography techniques, and ceramics. The Workshops preserve some of the equipment that Joan Miró used in his work such as the screw press and the lithographic press. In order to adapt the operation of the workshops to suit present day requirements, they have been modernised, and equipment and materials have been bought, making it possible to give courses and to use the most up-to-date methods and techniques in the field of printing.
Registration for courses is open to
all artists and people interested. The
enclosed application form should be handed into the Fundació Pilar i Joan
Miró in person or by letter; fax or E-mail (Reference: Grapchic workshops),
including curriculum vitae and four photographs of recent work.
Acceptance for registrations: until 30 days before begining of each course,
except for the intaglio printing workshop.Selection: Students will be selected
by the teacher of each course and decisions made will not be subject to appeal.
Succesful applicants will be notified in person.

The Scottish Sculpture Workshop is located in the village of Lumsden in rural West Aberdeenshire.
The Scottish Sculpture Workshop welcomes anyone wishing to pursue their sculptural practice. Charges are £100.00 (sterling) per week including self-catering accommodation, use of workshop facilities, and technical help. All materials and tuition is charged for as used.
There are discounts for students, people with a disability, OAP's, and unemployed people. There are also discounts for long stays. Please enquire if you believe that you are eligible for a discount.
UK Students and recent graduates for the first year after graduation from undergraduate or graduate courses are eligible for a special rate of £30.00 per week.
Accommodation is in double and single rooms. During busy periods it may be necessary to share a room.
Please enclose a deposit of £10.00 per week of planned stay. 28 days notice of cancellation must be given for a refund.

Onze doelgroep bestaat uit jongeren en volwassenen die in eerste instantie een creatieve vakantie willen doorbrengen tegen een democratische prijs in een prachtig stukje authentiek Frankrijk.De stages vinden plaats in de Pèrigord in het dorpje Gauvaudun, bekend voor zijn burcht, op zo'n 950 km van Vlaanderen. Logies is voorzien op La Bernoune, een prachtig domein van 7ha dat excellente accommodaties biedt, onder meer slaapgelegenheid in kamers of eigen tent, grote ateliers, nieuw buitenzwembad en verzorgd sanitair en douches. Reken daarbij ook drie heerlijke maaltijden per dag, tal van bezienswaardigheden (Cahors, Sarlat, Roccamadour, La Vallèe de l'homme,) in de nabijheid en niet te vergeten de altijd stralende zon, en je vakantie kan al niet meer stuk!

In the midst of the hills of
Charente, between the towns of Poitiers, Limoges and Angoulême, lies Domaine
de Boisbuchet, Lessac. During the summer months this idyllic country estate
is transformed into a meeting place for the international design scene.
For the past seven years the C.I.R.E.C.A. (Centre International de Recherche et
d'Education Culturelle et Agricole) has been collaborating with the Vitra Design
Museum and Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, to offer interdisciplinary summer
workshops where participants from all over the world can live and work for one
week with renowned architects, designers and artists. The aim of these courses
is not to produce a "perfect" product, but to offer insights into design
processes and the challenges involved – challenges to think rationally, work
imaginatively and display manual dexterity. Simple but functional workshops,
ideal for improvisation and experimentation, are at participants' disposal.
The courses on offer range from very concrete topics to questions which have
purposely been left open.
In the evenings an accompanying programme will take place, including, amongst
other things, lectures, discussions and joint leisure activities. Domaine de
Boisbuchet's extensive, park-like grounds are perfect for jogging and rambling.
There is a lake where participants can go for a swim, row or try their hand at
fishing. Canoeing tours on the river Vienne one of the last rivers running its
natural course in France can be organised.
