The Americas Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary Prints The purpose of The Americas Biennial Exhibition is to both introduce the public to contemporary prints from around the world while enlarging the collection of works within The Americas Biennial Exhibition Archive and making them available for academic research, museums, artists, and print students alike. Biennial International Miniature Print Exhibition (BIMPE) is a miniature print competition held every 2 years, and this year hosted by The Society for Contemporary Works on Paper which is based on Granville Island, Vancouver, Canada. The intent of BIMPE is to facilitate international artistic exchange and to increase public awareness and appreciation for printmaking. BIMPE VI will be held in 2010. 10th International Biennial of Miniature Art The competition is open for all artists who accept the terms and conditions of the Biennial. Artists are free in choice of topics and techniques. Only the original works which have been made in the last two years and which will be selected as works of high artistic and professional standard will be accepted. Annual International Exhibition of Fine Art in Miniature Original works in any traditional media, prints from original plates, or sculptures will be considered for exhibition, providing they have not been previously exhibited at MPSGS shows. As a general guideline,the work should embody the spirit of a miniature. The frame or mounting should be in the same spirit. Up to three works may be submitted.
