Stichting Spes Beurzen/Bourses 2006

De Stichting Spes werd in 1987 opgericht. Het is een privé stichting die tot doel heeft artistieke projecten en realisaties te steunen en dit door middel van beurzen.

Eenmaal per jaar, telkens in de loop van de maand november, bekroont Spes een tiental  Belgische kunstenaars. Bedoeling is kunstenaars te steunen en te helpen een project te realiseren dat vaak veelbetekenend zal zijn bij de verdere uitbouw van hun artistieke loopbaan.

Fondation Spes : La fondation Spes, créée en 1987, est une fondation belge privée qui a pour but de soutenir la création culturelle par l'octroi de bourses.

Une fois par an au mois de novembre, Spes décerne sept à dix bourses à des artistes belges prometteurs. Ces bourses sont destinées à les aider à réaliser un projet individuel ou à développer une oeuvre qui constitue un pas significatif dans l'évolution de leur carrière et leur reconnaissance à l'étranger.

NL-Open voor alle plastische kunstenaars, zonder leeftijdsgrens-alle nationaliteiten.

Geselecteerde kunstenaars wordt een tentoonstelling aangeboden in het Centre d'art d'Ivry. Laureaat ontvangt een beurs van 25.000 FF.+ persoonlijke tentoonstelling. Een kunstwerk blijft verworven door de stad Ivry. Inschrijvingsdatum : 28.01

FR-Ouvert à tout plasticien quels que soient son age et sa nationalité.Artistes sélectionnés se veront offrir une exposition au Centre d'art d'Ivry. Le lauréat recevra une bourse d'un montant de 25.000 FF.+ une exposition personnelle. Une oeuvre restera acquise à la ville d'Ivry.

Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen

The aim of the Foundation Künstlerdorf Schöppingen is the intensive promotion of literature and visual arts. Each year it offers scholarships for writers and visual artists.

Künstlerdorf Schöppingen offers an open platform for co-operations between artists and writers. This place opens the way for a copious flow of ideas and projects. Readings, workshops and exhibitions take place regularly. Co-operations as well as national and international exchanges are supported.

Künstlerdorf Schöppingen is both retreat and artistic laboratory. Schöppingen is located in the western part of the Münsterland (Federal Republic of Germany), near the dutch border, between the cities of Enschede and Münster. Site Map, click here, please.

The studios and apartements of Künstlerdorf Schöppingen have been installed in two completely renovated farm-houses from the beginning of the 19th century. There are 8 apartements for writers and 6 studios for visual artists. Moreover there are a.o. workshops, performance- and gallery spaces.

Up to 12 Scholarships for visual arts and up to 12 for literature and one for composition are on offer every year. There is also one sholarship up to six month for composing experimental types of music. Decisions on these scholarships are made by expert-juries.

The final date for applications is december 31st each year.

THE FRANKLIN FURNACE FUND 2005-2006
Supported by Jerome Foundation and the New York State Council on the Arts, Franklin Furnace awards grants between $2,000 and $5,000 to performance artists, allowing them to produce major works in New York. Artists from all areas of the world are invited to apply.

THE FUTURE OF THE PRESENT series is made possible by the faith and foresight of Jerome Foundation, The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Inc., the Heathcote Art Foundation, the New York State Council on the Arts' Technology Initiative, the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and The Daniel Langlois Foundation for Art, Science, and Technology.
Franklin Furnace offers artists an honorarium (this year of $5,000) and a residency facilitated by Franklin Furnace, for a 2-4 month duration at a physical or online venue appropriate to your proposed work. For THE FUTURE OF THE PRESENT 200

The Foundation of Lower Saxony has granted the Edith Russ Site for Media Art three 6 month work stipends per year for the years 2002 - 2004. Each stipend is endowed with roundabout 10.000 Euro and awarded for a project proposal. The call for entries is international. There are no residency requirements, yet the artists awarded the stipends will be integrated into the Media Art Site's activities.

UNESCO-ASCHBERG Bursaries for Artists programme

The brochure for the bursaries offered in the UNESCO-Aschberg programme for artists for 2005-2006 will be available on-line by November  2004.

You will find on the website all details concerning the residencies, their proposed programmes, the partner institutes, the application and selection procedures.

The increasing success of the UNESCO-ASCHBERG Bursaries for artists has encouraged new prestigious institutions to join the network. Similarly, some of the partners institutions have decided to increase the number of bursaries and to enlarge their field of co-operation to others disciplines.

The offered bursaries have been studied in order to give a full picture of the residency and to provide precise information on the host institution, the nature of the bursary, eligibility and application procedures.

Rave Scholarships for Curators, Restorers, Museum Technicians and Cultural Managers

The Rave Foundation would like to contribute to practical further education in arranging and realizing fine art exhibitions. It therefore awards scholarships to
 curators  restorers  museum technicians  cultural managers
from transformation and developing countries who have arranged a guest period, practical training period or non-paid work at a German museum, a state gallery or in cultural management at a German institution.

Pilar Juncosa and Sotheby's Grants - Mallorac - Spain

Deadline: July 31st

a)   The Pilar Juncosa grants for research on Miró  Researchers awarded grants must present a complete account (minimum fifty 60-space, 30-line sheets) of the work completed and any conclusions reached before April 30th 2003
b)  
The Pilar Juncosa grants for educational projects 

Option A: one grant of 3,005 euros for an educational project which promotes and encourages an interest in contemporary art by a specific sector of the public (children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, the disabled etc). This project must be based on the physical infrastructure and realities of the Fundació Pilar I Joan Miró a Mallorca.
Option B: one grant of 3,005 euros for the creation of an experimental educational workshop for children (aged 8 – 14) to be carried out in  the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca
c)  
The Pilar Juncosa grants for training, experimentation and creative work in the

                        Foundation's    graphic art workshops

Option A: Two grants of 4,507 Euros each for creation and experimentation in printmaking, 3,005 Euros to the project itself, which must be later accomplished in the foundation’s workshops and 1,502 euros for the creation, purchase of materials and  publication of each project.
Option B:  Seven grants to take  part in the courses run by the Graphic Workshops of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca.  Each grant consists of free registration for one of the workshops organized during the following year and up to 1,202 Euros for travelling costs, following justification of expenses.
Option C: One grant of 3,005 Euros for training in printing techniques in other workshops, either inside or outside Spain.

SGCD (Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorators) provides scholarships for glass and ceramic students

Criteria :

Award is for undergraduate or graduate students in a glass, ceramic or related curriculum including ceramic engineering, glass art, ceramic art and design or other programs where students focus on the decoration of glassware and ceramicware.

Any experience in glass or ceramic design either at school or during employment is considered by the review committee along with grade, financial need and plans for future study in the glass and ceramic field.

See scholarship application for specific details required.

Awards:
Two awards will be given including a $1000 award for the Fall 2003 semester and $1000 for the Spring 2004 semester. All applicants for the Fall award will be considered again for the Spring award.

Entry Deadlines : May 31, 2004 for the Fall 2004 term - December 15, 2004 for the Spring 2005 term
